Design # 2
Well, now that you've seen Hugs and Kisses, I'm happy to report that I'm working on my second design, but this one is going to have to be a surprise; however, I will tell you the name: "Mondo's Skirt"! I'm so happy to be working on these designs and hearing the feedback about them even though the patterns have yet to be released. Also, since Hugs and Kisses is my first pattern, I'm happy to report that it will be Free on Ravelry! Well, back to work for now and we'll talk soon.....

SNEAK PEAK!
Heres the promised sneak peak of the first cardigan in the collection. It's fresh off the needles, but I couldn't wait so I had to show you all!

This was knit out of 2 strands of Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud in Iris Heather held together, perfect color for the spring and because it's 100% Alpaca and lace, it's warm enough for a chilly spring night but as light as a cloud!

Hugs and Kisses!
So,
I've been hard at work on my first design and I'm happy to report that I'm almost done knitting it up and writing up the pattern, YAY! I've decided to call the first design Hugs and Kisses, but I won't tell you why just yet. I'm hoping for a few sunny days this weeks so that I can take a great "sneak peak" picture to perhaps peak your interests. Then, it'll be off to be test knitted and then one step closer to ready for sale on Ravelry.... woohoo! Furthermore, I just want to wish my Muslim brothers and sisters, knitters and non-knitters a Happy Eid! Oh and a special Happy Eid to my friend alajnabiya and a Thank you for the welcome back comment in my last post! So, until next time, here's wishing you all the very best!

Some of the Things I've Been Working On
I know it's been a while since I've posted, so I figured it was only fair to give you a sneak peak at some of the knitting I've been working on this summer.
I started off with this Zick Zack Tunic (Ravelry Link), which you may remember because I did speak about it a while back. This lovely tunic with a ribbed bottom and cowl neck comes from the Spring 2009 issue of Interweave Knits and I've knitted it in Gloss Lace from Knitpicks (Oh how I love Knit Picks). So, I've completed the back and I'm almost finished with the front, so hopefully this will move into the Finished Objects pile soon.

Next on the list was a project that I started a long while back. It's the Froot Loop (Ravelry Link) sock from Knitty. I have to say that I really love this sock, it's something calming and relaxing to work on when I get frustrated with a project or with anything actually. I'm knitting it in Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock, which is a dream to work with and the colors are... well, to me they're like sunshine and summer in a sock. What do you guys think?

Finally, there's this bad boy, which I only started a couple of days ago, but have been raving about since, well I think forever. It's the blasted Featherweight Cardigan (Ravelry Link) by Hannah Fettig over at Knitbot. I was going to start off making this in Alpaca Cloud by Knitpicks, but then I had something roaming around in my stash that was calling out for a project. Some Stroll Tonal in the Queen Anne colorway from Knitpicks. So, of course I cast on and now, I'm in love. No, seriously, I'm not kidding, I'm totally in love with the fabric this yarn is making. I cannot wait for this particular cardigan to be finished so that I can wear it. Oh, and don't think I've forgotten about the Alpaca Cloud, I have a very distinct feeling it too will become a Featherweight cardigan. I kid you not, this picture makes me drool!

So you see, I haven't not been knitting. I have been and now hopefully I can blog about it more!

Summer is Here!
Hi Everyone,
Now that summer is here, I thought I would give the blog a little bit of a lighter look. It was getting a little dreary with all that black, don't you think? Anyway, I certainly like the new look and I hope everyone who visits the blog will like it too. Also, I would love to hear if you have any other comments or if there are any other changes you would like to see. Can't wait to hear from you, now back to my regularly scheduled knitting.

Will This Ribbing Ever End?
So, as you all know I'm making the ZickZack Tunic (Ravelry Link) from the Spring 2009 issue of Interweave Knits. This tunic is knit from the bottom up and that means lots and lots of 2x2 ribbing, 5 and 1/2 inches worth to be exact and it took me forever to complete, but I did finally finish.... the ribbing that is! But, you know what the means right... yep, it means I now get to work on the lace which means I'm 1 step closer to having a finised object.... WOOHOO! Well that's it for now, back to the knitting. Talk to you all soon.... :o)
